The Magic Of Medicinal Mushrooms At Mycolove Farms!

Magic mushrooms captivated the 1960’s and 70’s with their mind-altering, mind-bending abilities but truth be told that not all mushrooms are magical, in a psychedelic sense, and can be used in a variety ways such as in the kitchen or holistically. Medicinal mushrooms just recently started becoming more popular as research develops about their benefits to the mind, body, and soul. Mycolove Farms has approached this recent rise in curiosity with an abundance of information in their specialization of the mushrooms Reishi, Turkey Tail, Lions Mane, and Cordyceps Militaris, each possessing their own mental and physical benefits. Starting in 2021, four men founded Mycolove and began their culinary and medicinal mushroom journey at their farm in Fort Lupton, Colorado, with the goal of opening the door to locally grown medicinal mushrooms at higher potencies and regulations to ensure quality. Since then, Mycolove has wholly dedicated themselves to providing the highest quality, locally grown, mushroom medicine in the Centennial State.
For those who are unfamiliar with medicinal mushrooms and their properties, Mycolove dives deep into each of their attributes on their website starting off with the King of Herbal Mushrooms, Reishi. Reishi, from the Ganoderma species, is best known for its immunopotentiation, muscle and central nervous system relaxation, liver and bronchial protection, antibacterial, antitumor, and, as I mentioned earlier, is coined the King of Herbal Medicine. Reishi is viewed as the “preventative maintenance” mushroom and has been ranked as the superior adaptogen above ginseng (Mycolove Farm). Reishi is best taken every morning, either in your morning coffee or straight out of the dropper, to prevent common colds and flus and to maintain your overall health.
Reishi      Turkey Tail

Mycolove emphasizes the benefits from the Turkey Tail mushroom, also known as Trametes versicolor and the “treatment medicine”, differing from the preventative qualities Reishi offers. Turkey tail is known to aid with colds and flus, assist as a pre and probiotic, while enhancing your immune system and improving the function of white blood cells. For those who study medicine or like to be blown away by scientific facts, Turkey Tails medicinal compounds include: PSK (polysaccharide krestin), PSP (polysaccharide peptide), lipids, provitamin D2, and many more according to Mycolove Farm. Turkey tail has been studied extensively both locally, country-wide, and in Asia for its immunostimulating polysaccharides and its benefits in the treatment of cancer due to its ability of PSK or PSP stimulating immune cells or inhibiting cancer cell proliferation.

Unlike Turkey tail and Reishi, the mushroom Lion’s Mane, scientifically known as Hericium Erinaceus, is known for its neuron repair by aiding your brain with cognition and memory support, nerve growth stimulation, learning and recall, and even cancer inhibition. Lion’s Mane has been known as nature’s most potent brain stimulator due to supporting studies of patients' improvements from neurological diseases, such as parkinson’s disease and diabetic neuropathy. In this specific study of 100 patients, 86% of the control group saw improvement in their perceptual capacities and functional independent measures after taking a daily dose for 6 months (Mycolove Farm). The last mushroom Mycolove has perfected in their tinctures is the Cordyceps Militaris mushroom. Cordyceps is known for its energy support, enhanced metabolism, neural protection, and has been coined as the Endurance Mushroom. This mushroom is perfect for helping those who spend all day on their feet to incredible athletes, to release the lactic acid buildup and enhance oxygen intake and flow through the ATP pathway and by enhancing metabolism. Cordyceps also offers anti-inflammatory attributes in each dosage in order to prevent swelling after a good workout.

Mycolove Farms have an exceptional selection of medicinal mushrooms with benefits that range from preventing colds and flus to healing these illnesses and others that help with lactic acid buildup, neural diseases, and inhibiting cancer. Reishi, Turkey Tail, Lions Mane, and Cordyceps mushrooms each contain their own healing properties and are encouraged to take daily to truly see their full potential. These medicinal mushrooms aren’t psychedelic, but they sure are magical.
