Each frame is handmade in Northern Italy from cellulose acetate by Mazzucchelli in a limited, produced in rotational of styles that change be the season, and uniquely named to honor her Japanese heritage. 2. Friends of Friends Hats
Friends of Friends was started by Brett Simons, an Encinitas local, back in 2019 in the small beach town of San Diego. They manufacture in house and import artisan hats using a slow fashion process. hey sew in American made cotton sweatbands into their hats & use various materials from all over the world, including 100% toquilla straw from Ecuador, 100% wool and palm from Guatemala. They are also in partnership with 1% for the planet. Friends of Friends follows a lifestyle inspired by slow living, surf, and travel which can be seen in each unique piece. 3. Karst Hair Clips
Karst was created in the pursuit of trying to find staple accessories that could tick all of our boxes. Karst’s Creative Director and Founder, Vanessa Martinez, set out to create essentials that were not only cute and unique, but that would also last for years to come — at an accessible price point. When you really think about it, our clips hold our hair each day and undeniably become a coveted part of our uniform & daily ritual. 4. Bembien Bags & Scarves
Bembien is a line of accessories handmade by artisans around the world. Founder Yi-Mei Truxes was inspired to create a line of bags evoking a nostalgia for a 1970s coastal France perennial style. She works with a small village of artisan weavers in Bali with the intention to support each of these precious weaving communities. 10% of all Bembien proceeds go back into their local community in partnership with the nonprofit Nest.
